It's clear that Christian and Paul's workflow and stylistic preferences doesn't necessarily reflect the workflows of some of the more discerning members here. I also think its important to view these libraries through the lens of who is creating them. (And to a large extent I undersand that, the internet is a snake pit). Why would they take major criticism of a library on board and implement any changes when their business plan is to crank things out? One only has to watch a handful of Christians vlogs to get a sense that they don't exactly take forum opinions seriously. However, I just simply don't think they're listening. On the one hand I'd like to say we we should keep them aware of the concerns we have about this ( and other) products. How could they take a breath for a second to ruminate on this release when they have, what, 3, 4 more major releases to come this year? (I say that without knowledge, just a guess). I've been burned before, but on the $30-50 level, and cannot afford to get it wrong on the $300-400+ level.I feel like this library has given evidence to a theory Ive had for a while that with the amount of libraries they've been releasing of late there is simply no way for them to stay as invested in the return each library is giving to their customers. Maybe I should save some more cash and get LASS. So now I'm leaning toward CS2 even though I want to prefer the NI SS SE for the wider range of articulations, particularly the Audiobro polyphonic legato/divisi. Also, as anyone here knows, announcements by developers of plans to fix bugs are not remotely the same as bugs that have been verifiably fixed. Not that I'm a great pianist, but do play the piano OK, tend to think like a piano player, and very much like the ability to handle expressive elements on the keys themselves to the extent possible, so ease of use on this level is a big deal.

These high-end orchestral libraries are expensive, there are (understandably) no demos and no returns, so it behooves one to be extremely thorough and careful if you don't have a ton of money, and some of us rely rather heavily on the commentaries of the heavy hitters here, and it is appreciated. Most of the time I don't need it though, but it's not like I'm doing crazy compositions or anything. In the end, I almost always find myself just reaching for CS2 and just pull up cinestrings or SS when I need more stuff. I find that I just have to be more careful when I'm playing to make sure I'm getting the timing and velocities right. If you want auto-divisi, you have to be more careful with the timing of your notes so that they trigger the legato correctly. The downside is that I feel like it's more work to play. It has more articulations (divisi, harmonics, portamento, etc) that CS2 doesn't have.

I personally see this as a plus because it gives me one less thing to fuss with. The samples are very wet, not that it's ever really been an issue, you just won't get a variety of sound from it. I don't feel like I have to work at it, you just play and it sounds good. I quite like the sound of CS2, and for whatever reason, it feels really natural for me to play.
